NYC area All-Alumni "Kick Off" Reception for FABSIT as "Official" Alumni Association

Over 70 young American Board School alums from all three schools mingled over wine and hors d'oeuvres graciously provided by ACI-alum Pera management, celebrating the introduction of FABSIT to young professional alums beginning with those in the NYC area. FABSIT has long been trying to bring young alums in the U.S. from the ‘90’s and the 2000’s under its umbrella. Now, under the leadership of Hakan Ozakbaş (ACI ‘96) FABSIT has become “The Official U.S. Alumni Portal for ACI, TAC, and ÜAA” with a new facebook fanpage through which these U.S. alums and others can connect. Alums from DC, Maryland, and Virginia are a particularly active group in public affairs and many give time to NGO's on top of their busy professional lives.

On May 12, 2007 FABSIT Foundation celebrated its 20 years of service to the American Board Institutions in Turkey—American Collegiate Institute in Izmir, Tarsus American College in Tarsus, Üsküdar American Academy in Istanbul, and Gaziantep American Hospital in Gaziantep. On this special occasion we honored alumni residing in the U.S. who have made significant professional contributions in the areas of education and health care.
